What the journal collects

Everyday Well has no newsletter sign-up, reader account form, comments, purchase checkout or contact form. We do not ask readers to provide names, email addresses or other personal details. Advertising is not active.

Optional Google Analytics

Only if you choose “Accept analytics,” we load Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to understand readership: page views, visits, broad device and browser information, approximate location and referring websites. Google receives technical request information and uses analytics cookies and browser-generated identifiers to produce reports. These identifiers are not your name, but the information is not completely anonymous.

Before you accept, and while your choice is “Reject analytics,” the journal does not load Google Analytics, set its cookies or send analytics measurements to Google. Choosing not to accept does not limit the articles or reading tools.

Our analytics code removes query strings and fragments from page URLs and sends only the origin of a referring website. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, account identifiers or text entered into the journal’s search. Advertising consent remains denied, Google signals and advertising-personalization features are disabled in our tag, and this integration does not activate advertisements.

After you accept, Google Analytics may store first-party cookies named “_ga” and “_ga_…” on this website. We configure these to expire after no more than 180 days without extending them on each visit. Google processes analytics information under its own policies, and processing may take place outside your country. See Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Your analytics choice

We save your accept or reject choice in this browser’s local storage for up to 180 days, so you do not have to answer on every page. This essential preference is stored on your device, not sent to us as a reader profile. If the saved choice expires or cannot be read and saved reliably, analytics stays off until a new choice can be saved.

Use here or in any page footer to review or withdraw your choice. Rejecting after previously accepting stops analytics on the current page, removes the site’s accessible analytics cookies and reloads the page with analytics blocked. This stops future collection; it does not delete information Google already received. If your browser prevents saving the change, analytics is disabled on the current page and we explain that you should clear this site’s browser data to remove any earlier stored permission.

Your reading preferences

If you choose a larger article text size, the journal saves that preference in your browser’s local storage. It stays on that device and is not sent to us as a reader profile. Clear your browser’s site data to remove it.

Hosting and access

The journal is hosted with OpenAI Sites and is publicly readable without a reader account. Editorial publishing uses the hosting platform’s owner access controls. The hosting provider may process technical information, including request and device information, to operate and secure the service. Its handling of that information is covered by OpenAI’s Privacy Policy.

External links

Source links take you to other websites with their own privacy practices. Everyday Well does not control them. Source links open in a separate tab without sending a referrer from the journal.

Advertising is not active

Unconfigured advertising placements are hidden in normal reading. The optional layout preview shows clearly labeled examples without loading advertising or analytics scripts. The AdSense publisher-verification metadata does not load an advertising script. Before live advertising is enabled, this page and any required consent controls must be updated for the actual providers and visitors’ regions.

Contact and changes

A dedicated reader contact address has not yet been configured. See contact status. We will update this notice when the journal’s data practices change.
